Questions people ask.

Answered the way we would answer them on a call. If yours is not here, ask us.

01

Before you start

Do we need a Korean company?

It depends on the channel and how you want to sell. We will tell you which route applies to your situation before you commit to anything, because getting this wrong is expensive to undo.

How long until we are selling?

The parts we control move quickly. What sets the date is usually document collection and your own approvals, so we map those first rather than promising a launch week we cannot hold.

Can we start with one service?

Yes, and plenty of brands do. A product review or fulfillment on its own tells you more about working with us than a proposal does.

What do you need from us to quote?

What you sell, roughly how many SKUs, whether anything is already moving in Korea, and which parts of the work you want covered. Estimates are fine.

02

Getting your product in

Will our product clear customs?

We cannot promise that, and neither can anyone else. Authorities decide. What we can do is find out what your product needs, gather it, and deal with the problems that come up.

Does our US classification tell you what applies in Korea?

Not reliably. How a product is classified and sold in the US does not determine the Korean requirements, which is why a review starts from the product itself.

What about food and supplements?

Extra review, including requirements that land on the manufacturing site rather than the product. Worth mapping before you plan anything around it.

Shipments keep getting held. Can you help?

Usually. Most holds we see are recipient details and incomplete addresses. Our team in Korea catches those during clearance and gets them corrected.

03

Shipping and delivery

Daily departures — does my order ship today?

No. The route flies daily. Your box still has to be ready and booked before the cutoff.

Where does our stock sit?

California. We confirm the exact receiving location and labelling instructions for your project before you send anything.

Who delivers in Korea?

Hanjin Express handles final delivery. Freight moves LAX to Incheon on Korean Air.

Can Korean customers return to a Korean address?

Yes, that can be part of the scope. How returns get received, inspected and dispositioned is agreed in advance.

04

Working with us

Who do we actually contract with?

SellToKorea. One agreement covers everything you buy from us.

Who runs the shipping?

We do, from our own fulfillment center in Compton, California. It is listed in Coupang's Service Provider Network under USA / Shipping to Korea, and you can check that yourself on our How We Operate page.

What reporting do we get?

An operations report on a cycle we agree, and an exception log that shows anything that needed a decision. Both are on this site as samples.

What if something goes wrong?

It gets a reference, an owner and a recorded outcome. Items waiting on you are visible from the day they open, not raised at month end.
